My first enquiries into yoga began in the early 1990’s. In my first yoga class, I experienced new ways to move and connect body and mind. I began to understand that there was something deeper to be found within the practice. Propelled forward by this experience of a slight transformation within the conditioned mind, I began to delve into the eight limbs of yoga which offered a release not only of the habituated patterns of the body but of habituated mental tendencies as well.
I was then introduced to Theravada Buddhism where I began a formal inquiry into the Dhamma. For more than two decades now, I’ve studied with various teachers and regularly participated in silent retreats. These two practices, Yoga and Theravada Buddhism have become the pillars that give shape to my life, each informing and supporting the other.

Teachers
I am deeply grateful to all the teachers and mentors who have shown up over the last three decades, broadening and informing this path with their expertise, wisdom and the continuity of deeper explorations.
My early studies in yoga were under the guidance of teachers within the lineages of
Swami Radha and BKS Iyengar, among others.
In 2009, I met my primary yoga teacher, Yoga Elder, Sama Fabian with whom I continue to study extensively. I am profoundly inspired by the depth of her understanding, exquisite teachings and dedication to this lifelong study of yogic lore.
From 2009 – 2016, I was fortunate meet and study with Michael Stone whose teachings continue to inspire, influence and deepen my understanding of yogic philosophy.
I hold a deep respect and gratitude for Ajahn Sona, and more recently Ajahn Sucitto both of whom continue to generously offer their wisdom and guidance with a rich and beautiful investigation/teaching of the Dhamma.
