Donna Williams arrived on Canada’s West Coast and in 1995 moved to Mayne Island, a beautiful Gulf Island in the Salish Sea. There she met her partner with whom she has shared her life for 25 years. The combination of a life immersed in a beautiful, peaceful environment on the Pacific Ocean with her yoga practice and a lifelong commitment to the Dhamma has meant a balanced and mandala-like cohesiveness incorporating yogic and meditative practices,
and artistic endeavours.
Certified Yoga Teacher since 2009 and registered with
Canadian Yoga Alliance, CYA-E-RYT 550
(Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), Donna shares her many years experience teaching classes and workshops both on Mayne Island and in Victoria, B.C. She is trained in Classical Ashtanga (Eight Limbs) and Hatha Yoga, Mindful Somatic Movement, and is a certified Ayurveda Yoga Wellness Consultant and Reflexologist.
Donna is also on faculty at Island Yoga Vista,
Donna offers tailored individual yoga sessions and has worked closely one-on-one to support seasoned practitioners who have also experienced physical and/or mental health challenges.
She continues to upgrade her teaching skills and regularly attends workshops and trainings. She also leads small intimate yoga retreats both locally and internationally.
